Overview
We strongly support your right to privacy when you use our website and, soon, our apps.
Our approach is simple: we would rather not have your data. We are in the business of making software tools, not of collecting information about the people who use them.
Where our website and apps can do their job without collecting data from you, they don’t. Where we do collect data, we tell you why, collect as little as we need, say how long we keep it, delete it when we no longer need it, and let you opt out or ask us to remove it wherever we can.
We may be legally required to disclose information we hold to law enforcement or government agencies in some situations.
This Website
This website (revade.io and www.revade.io) has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no forms and no accounts. It doesn’t ask you for anything.
Reading it does require your browser to fetch pages, styles and fonts from the services listed under Third-Party Services Used, and that is described next.
Logging
When your browser asks for a page, the request reaches the servers that host this site. Like any web request, it carries some metadata:
- your IP address (which can reveal your approximate location)
- the page or file requested
- the name and version of your browser and operating system
- whether the request succeeded
- the date and time
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes that metadata to deliver the site, keep it secure and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report connections that fail (“network error logging”) so it can detect outages.
We have not turned on request logging for this site, so we don’t keep a record of individual visits. Cloudflare shows us aggregate statistics, such as how many requests the site served and from which countries, which we may look at to understand how much the site is used.
If you email us, we receive:
- your email address
- any other metadata in the email’s headers
- whatever you choose to write or attach
We use it only to reply to you, and we keep it only as long as that conversation needs. To have us delete your messages sooner, just ask.
Our Apps
Our apps are not released yet. Before any of them collects anything, this page will say exactly what it collects, why, how long we keep it and how to turn it off, app by app.
Third-Party Services Used
To have a third-party service remove information it holds about you, please contact that company directly.
- Hosting, DNS, caching and protection from attacks are provided by Cloudflare.
- Fonts are served by Google Fonts.
- Page styles (Bootstrap) are served by BootstrapCDN.
- Email is handled by Google Workspace.
Data Not Collected
Except as described above, we do not collect any information about you. That includes:
- cookies or anything else stored in your browser
- analytics or tracking of how you move around the site
- advertising identifiers
- browser or device fingerprints
- your location, beyond what your IP address reveals to the services above
We do not sell, rent or trade information about you to anyone.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your Rights
Because this website collects so little, there is usually nothing for us to hand over or delete, but you can always ask.
People in the EU and UK may exercise their rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the rights of access and erasure, by contacting us.
Residents of California may exercise their rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, such as the rights to know and to delete, by contacting us.
If your region has enacted a right-to-privacy law not listed here, we will honor it.
